For those of you who like doing cryotherapy: I try to incorporate some from of cryotherapy every week (preferably post sauna for contrast therapy), and since I have been draining my body more than usual during this campaign, I decided to set up my own cold plunge with some basic materials for less than ~$300 total. I purchased some books and watched some videos over the year, and this is definitely the simplest set up as it filters itself and keeps it in cryo temperatures without eating up your electricity. Moreover, it is much cheaper than the industrial ice plunges that go for $1,200-$3,000 at most places since most of them have a separate water chiller. Lowe's had a cheap 8 cubic feet chest freezer for $190, then the rest of the materials (hose, adapter, 42 lbs of ice from walmart, mini filter, etc.) was only less than $100 and I was able to fit in everything into my rental SUV this weekend. I even did this before I competed against the high school athletes yesterday. Key is to use 1/2 ice 1/2 water to start it off, then plug in it with a timer so it is only on a few hours a day and it will stay between 40-50 degrees F. www.chrisbrandlin.com #brandlinforcongress #thecarnivorelawyer #votecpb2026
