Nevada Assembly District 42

Why I'm Running

Nevada Assembly District 42 deserves a representative who shows up on every issue and votes the record. The incumbent, Tracy Brown-May, raised $600,000 in campaign contributions — 82.9% from PACs and corporations, only 5.4% from individual donors — while chairing the Assembly Health and Human Services Committee that funds her own employer, Opportunity Village. I'm Chris Brandlin, and I'm running because AD-42 voters deserve a clear choice backed by a clear record. My credentials — PhD in Public Policy & Administration, JD, MBA, DTR Registered Dietetic Technician, 20+ years in Health & Fitness — are built around the three issues every AD-42 family lives with daily: public safety, education, and public health.

"AD-42 voters deserve to compare records, not just slogans. Read my platform. Read her votes. Then decide."

Let's strengthen our society!

Public Safety

I stand firmly with our law enforcement officers and first responders. Safe neighborhoods are the foundation of opportunity. We must support our police, ensure they have the resources they need, and pursue policies that reduce crime while protecting constitutional freedoms.

  • Full support for law enforcement
  • Constitutional freedoms protected
  • Evidence-based crime reduction

Education

Nevada's children deserve better. Test scores are declining, and too many classrooms have shifted focus away from core academics. We must return to excellence in reading, math, science, and critical thinking. Healthy children learn better — and educated children build a stronger Nevada.

  • Core academics prioritized
  • Critical thinking & STEM
  • Health & learning connection

Public Health

My mission: to prioritize prevention, metabolic health, real food, and informed medical decision-making. We must move toward a system that values prevention, transparency, and personal responsibility — treating patients as individuals, not repeat customers.

  • Prevention over intervention
  • Functional & metabolic medicine
  • Patient transparency & choice

These three pillars are the foundation. The full platform covers nine: Public Safety, Education, Public Health, Family & Parental Rights, Affordability, Homelessness, Healthcare Reform, Grassroots, and Independent Voice for AD-42 — each one linked to a specific Tracy Brown-May vote in the 2025 Nevada Assembly session.

From the Field
to the Floor

As a competitive athlete who built a career in the Health and Fitness Industry, I lived the power of physical excellence firsthand. Then rare health conditions forced me to confront the reality of a system that too often treats patients as repeat customers rather than individuals seeking restoration.

I restored my own health through oxygen-based therapies, functional medicine, and metabolic nutrition via a ketogenic, animal-based diet. That personal transformation became my professional mission — and the reason I pursued credentials that could turn lived experience into actionable policy.

This background places me in a unique position: I don't just understand these issues in theory — I have lived them.

AD-42 voters have a clear choice. Tracy Brown-May voted 99.1% party-line over the 2025 Nevada Assembly session — sponsored AB107 (removing background-check requirements for foster-home residents) and AB202 (managed-care insurer dispute-resolution rules while chairing the committee that funds her employer Opportunity Village). The facts are public. The choice is yours.

AD-42 deserves independent leadership.

AD-42 deserves verifiable records.

AD-42 deserves real accountability.

Make an informed choice for Nevada Assembly District 42.

Where I Stand

The lines drawn before Election Day.

What I Stand FOR

  • Full backing for law enforcement + first responders
  • Core academics — reading, math, science, critical thinking
  • Prevention-first medicine + patient transparency
  • Constitutional freedoms + parental rights
  • Affordability for working AD-42 families

What I Stand AGAINST

  • Special-interest capture of the Nevada Assembly

  • Party-line votes without independent judgment (Tracy: 99.1% in 2025)

General Election — Tuesday, November 3, 2026 · Early voting October 17–30

Three ways to move this race.

Independent campaigns win by stacking small actions. Pick the one that fits your week.

Volunteer

Door knocking, sign waving, phone banking. Two hours buys a precinct. The campaign tracks every commitment so we know what AD-42 actually needs by week.

Pick a shift

Donate

Tracy raised $600K from PACs and corporations. We're funded by Nevada families — $20 buys a yard sign, $100 covers a precinct mailer, $500 funds a paid canvasser shift.
