The 9 Commitments
Nine commitments, each one set next to Tracy Brown-May's record on the same issue. I'll defend every one of them on the Assembly floor, on the campaign trail and at your door.
Commitment 1
Public Safety
Safe neighborhoods are the foundation of a good life — for every family in Spring Valley, Mountain's Edge, Enterprise, and the southwest valley. Republican, Democrat, or independent, that's a shared starting point.
- Full support for Las Vegas Metro and Henderson PD staffing + retention
- Constitutional rights protected for every Nevadan
- Evidence-based crime reduction — let the data lead, not the press release
Commitment 2
Education
Nevada's kids deserve a return to the basics — reading, math, science, critical thinking — with full transparency for the parents who pay the taxes and raise the children.
- Core academics prioritized at every grade level
- Parental notification + transparency in classroom curriculum
- Real school choice — let families pick the school that works for their child
Commitment 3
Public Health
Prevention, metabolic medicine, real food, and informed consent. Treat patients as individuals seeking restoration — not as repeat customers for any industry.
- Prevention-first medicine reimbursed on parity with pharmaceutical care
- Functional and metabolic medicine protected as a Nevada specialty
- Patient transparency and informed consent on every prescription and procedure
Commitment 4
Family & Parental Rights
Parents — not state agencies, not federal surveys, not classroom curricula — make the major decisions about their children's education, healthcare, and personal information.
- Active (not passive) parental consent for any survey of a minor's sexual or substance-use behavior
- Full curriculum transparency in every Nevada public-school classroom
- Parental notification on every medical or social decision affecting a minor at school
Commitment 5
Affordability
The grocery bill is a tax bill. The gas-pump price is a tax bill. The rent is a tax bill. Carson City’s job is to make those bills smaller — not bigger.
- Oppose every additional fuel-tax authority in Clark County — every penny on diesel lands on every grocery receipt in AD-42
- Sponsor a Family Affordability Index — published annually, tracking how much new state action has added to a Nevada family's monthly cost of living
- Defend the Nevada cottage-food and direct-farm-sale laws so families can buy local without paying for redundant inspections
Commitment 6
Homelessness — Treatment AND Accountability
Real compassion is mental-health treatment, addiction recovery, and a structured path back into community — not tolerated encampments under our overpasses.
- Fund mental-health beds and addiction-recovery capacity at scale
- Partner with the church-based recovery networks and Nevada Health Centers that move people forward
- Defend neighborhoods and small businesses from the drug markets and theft that follow tolerated encampments
Commitment 7
Healthcare Reform — Sick-Care to Real Care
Patients are not customers. Doctors are not vending machines. Insurance is not health. Reimburse the registered dietitian on parity with the prescription pad.
- Reimburse functional and metabolic interventions on parity with pharmaceutical interventions
- Plain-English informed consent on every prescription and procedure
- Protect Nevada's metabolic-medicine and functional-medicine practitioners from out-of-state regulatory pressure
Commitment 8
Grassroots — Door by Door
I knock the doors myself. Every Saturday in Spring Valley, Mountain’s Edge, Enterprise, and the southwest of AD-42. I do not hire a consultant to do the listening for me.
- Weekly door-walking in every neighborhood of AD-42 between now and Election Day
- Open quarterly town halls in AD-42 — listening before I propose
- Direct response to every constituent message — Republican, Democrat, or independent — not a form letter
Commitment 9
Independent Voice for AD-42
When the right bill comes from across the aisle, I’ll vote for it. When the wrong bill comes from my own party, I’ll vote against it. AD-42 deserves a representative who answers to this district — not to a caucus whip.
- Publish a yearly bill-by-bill record explaining every floor vote in plain English
- Co-sponsor with any colleague — regardless of party — on a bill that demonstrably helps AD-42 families
- Never trade a vote for a chairmanship, a committee assignment, or a campaign-donor list
