There is no policy argument attached to this one. It is a candidate who does the thing rather than talking about doing the thing, in a place where bull riding is treated as ordinary rather than as a stunt. The Fort Worth Stockyards have run rodeo events for well over a century, and the eight-second standard has not moved in any of that time.

What it does illustrate is a pattern that shows up throughout these videos: a willingness to be visibly bad at something in public in order to have actually tried it. That is a different disposition from the one that usually produces campaign footage.
