Doorwalking Nevada Assembly District 42 with Remy — canvassing southwest Las Vegas with the campaign's most consistent volunteer.

A dog on a canvass is not a gimmick so much as a door-opener in the literal sense. People who would end a political conversation in four seconds will stop to talk about a dog, and the conversation that follows tends to be a real one rather than a doorstep script.
