Nevadans Deserve a Healthcare System that serves the people

People before profits, and what that means at state level

Chris Brandlin's healthcare message for AD-42: that Nevadans deserve a system organised around patients rather than around what is most profitable to deliver.

It is a line most candidates of every party will say, so the useful question is what a state legislator can actually do with it. The genuine levers are narrower than the slogan: price transparency requirements, network-adequacy and surprise-billing rules, scope-of-practice decisions, Medicaid programme design, and licensing. None are glamorous, all are state-level, and each measurably changes what a patient pays or waits for.

This is one of the nine commitments.
