An hour off the clock
Saturday miles outside Las Vegas, with the campaign phone presumably in a pocket.
The desert north and west of the city is the reason a lot of people ride here — long sightlines, empty road, and a temperature that becomes survivable somewhere around the time the sun drops. An hour of it is the closest thing to genuine downtime a campaign schedule allows.
It is included for the same reason the dog videos are. Candidates are usually shown either working or performing leisure. This is neither.
