Chris Brandlin announces his candidacy for the Nevada State Legislature, and sets out why Assembly District 42 and why this cycle.
This is the founding document of the campaign and the most useful single video for anyone trying to understand it. Nearly five minutes, recorded in January 2026, before the primary he went on to win in June — which makes it a fair test of how much the message has since drifted. It has not much.
The case made here is that AD-42 has been treated as decided for so long that it stopped being contested, and that a district nobody campaigns in gets the representation that follows from that. Everything else in this library — the health policy, the doorwalking, the accountability research — follows from the argument stated here first.
