Sunday Workout Through Pain

Working around an injury instead of quitting

Chris Brandlin trains around an injury rather than skipping the session — and makes the case for showing up anyway.

The distinction he draws is between training around an injury and training through one. Working around it means changing the movement, the range, or the load so the injured tissue is not the limiting factor while everything else keeps working. That is a different decision from ignoring pain, and the difference is worth understanding before copying either.

The honest caveat: which category a given injury falls into is a question for a clinician, not a video. Some things need rest, and pushing them is how a short problem becomes a long one.

The habit this protects is covered in the morning routine, and the recovery side in the oxygen bath clip.

Nothing here is medical advice. See a clinician about your own injury.
