The law-enforcement pledge
Chris Brandlin's law-enforcement commitment to Assembly District 42 — backing police and giving departments what they need to do the job.
The parts of this a state legislator genuinely controls are budgetary and statutory: funding levels, recruitment and retention incentives, training requirements, and the criminal statutes officers enforce. Staffing is the constraint most often cited by departments themselves, and it is a straightforwardly legislative question.
This is one of the nine commitments. How the incumbent voted on related bills is documented at On the Record, with each vote linked to its official Nevada Legislature source.
