Cowtown Coliseum has run rodeo in the Fort Worth Stockyards since 1908, and the eight-second standard has not moved in any of that time. Eight seconds is a long time when the animal underneath you is actively disagreeing with the arrangement.

The reason it belongs in a campaign library at all is consistency: this is the same disposition as announcing a ride date in advance and the same as the obstacle training — do the difficult thing, publish it whether or not it goes well.
