Starting the year out of a plane
The Carnivore Lawyer starts the new year with a skydive — a fairly literal opening to campaign season.
New Year traditions usually involve a gym membership nobody uses. This one is at least honest about being a gesture, and it sets the register the rest of the library keeps: do the uncomfortable thing, film it, do not narrate it into significance.
